Amazon Braid Sculpture commonly known as Amazon Salon originated in Chicago, IL in the late 1970's by Amazon Smiley. Over the last 25 years we have been trendsetters in the industry of natural hair care, now the family business has past to her talented daughters Nadra Smiley and Tenee Smiley-Amico.
Although they learned most of what they know from their mother Amazon Payton-Smiley they are quickly becoming legends also in Natural Hair and Braid Art and now we have expanded to Maui, Hawaii.
Amazon's Salon has styled for various movie sets, and been published in magazines such as Essence, Ebony, Sophistcate Black Hair, Chicago Social, and Salon Sense just to name a few. We also, serve as educators and product consultants worldwide as well as for haircare companies such as Soft Sheen Products, Johnson-Carson Products, AHBAI and Namasté Laboratories.
